Architectural support
Besides supporting a full range of mobile and server-based operating systems, the Knomi platform is available in device-centric, server-centric, and browser-based configurations.
Knomi S creates, matches, and stores biometric templates on server platforms. It also performs autocapture, liveness detection, and spoof detection. Specific functions include:
- Mobile Face Client: built upon the PreFace SDK, this captures and analyzes high-quality facial images
- Face Authentication Service: built upon the Nexa|Face SDK, this server-based API provides facial template storage and matching
- Face Liveness: this server-based API powers facial image analysis, including liveness and spoof detection
- Face Analyzer: this server-based API provides advanced quality checking for facial images
- Mobile Voice Capture: this app performs audio capture and analysis on the device
- Voice Authentication Service: applies high-performance voice authentication as an alternative to facial recognition
- Voice Liveness Service: provides biometric voice sample analysis to detect attempted spoofs, such as recorded or synthesized samples
- DocAuth Client: captures and crops document images from backgrounds, and can extract data groups from ICAO-compliant chips
- DocAuth Service: reads OCR, MRZ, and barcodes from document images; performs document authenticity checks; verifies face and selfies; and validates ICAO data groups with certificate chains
Knomi Web performs biometric facial capture, authentication, and liveness detection using any browser. Knomi Web performs facial autocapture within a browser; with liveness detection, spoof detection, template storage, and biometric matching performed on the server. Knomi Web operates on any iOS, Android, or Windows device with a browser and an integrated camera or peripheral webcam. Specific functions include:
- Browser Face Client: built on the PreFace SDK, this captures high-quality facial images to quickly detect spoof attempts
- Face Authentication Service: built upon the Nexa|Face SDK, this server-based API provides facial template storage and matching
